Previous Event Highlights
Thank you to all of the families that joined us for Back to School Night! The evening was filled with resources and relationship-building, and we are looking forward to an exciting school year of growth and success!
15 teachers and over 100 students spent the month of June engaged in learning at Enlace Academy's Summer Academy, which included a kindergarten bootcamp, small-group academic intervention for rising 1st-7th graders, and Enlace's first every Summer Music Camp!
All of the participants saw academic growth, and 6 additional students passed the I-Read exam! The summer culminated with an original musical performance written and directed by Ms. Heitman and Ms. Avila, and a field day supported by Officer Deakin from IMPD Northwest, Susan Decker from Susan Decker Media & Sojos Capital and Rise Indy.
Enlace is incredibly grateful for all of the students, teachers, and volunteers that created such a wonderful culminating event for the summer!
Enlace Academy's vision is to cultivate the intellect, foster the character, and ignite the imagination of our students so they can become leaders who choose their own futures in high school, college, and beyond.
Enlace 8th graders realized that vision by choosing to attend over 10 different high schools, representing public, private, and charter options.
Students and families were invited to attend high school fairs, seminars, and campus visits throughout the school year to ensure that they found the right fit.
Enlace Academy is so proud of Ms. Heitman and her afterschool choir club for performing with 200+ students from across Indianapolis at Circle the State with Song. The students have been practicing after school to prepare for the joint performance.
For 32 years, Circle the State with Song (CSWS) has been an integral part of Indiana’s choral landscape. This program is a statewide choral festival for elementary and junior high/middle school choirs. Nearly 5,000 youth from hundreds of different schools participate in Circle the State each spring at one of 12 sites throughout Indiana. Over 15,000 community members attend these concerts annually.

Enlace Academy is thrilled to be highlighted in Teach Indy's blog post that describes how our teachers & leaders leverage the Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol (SIOP) approach to instruction.
SIOP was developed specifically to support educators in best practices for serving English Learner students. It prioritizes helping educators maximize opportunities for students to interact with content-specific language and their peers.
